Mac connect to wireless network automatically

When my computer wakes up, it diverts to another preferred network and not the local wifi I was operating on. Obviously this is a problem because of the shared network drives, printers etc. How do I get that window so that I can make the new wireless network my automatic network? My location is set to automatic. It must be a bug right? I was having the same problem.
